Torah Tones

In short: Torah Tones collects nothing. It has no account, makes no network requests, and sends nothing to us.

What the app does with data

Torah Tones turns key presses into MIDI notes and sends them to the instrument you choose: inside a music app that hosts it (such as AUM or Logic Pro), to other apps on your iPad through its own MIDI connection, or to MIDI keyboards and devices you have connected. Those notes go only where you send them.

What it remembers, on your device

So it can pick up where you left off, the app saves its settings (key, mode, timing and the like), your loop, and the verses you chose, on your iPad. Inside a music app, those settings are saved in that app's project file instead, the same way every plugin's are. Deleting the app deletes what it stored.

Network, analytics and tracking

The app makes no network requests. The Torah text and the melodies are built into it. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting software, shows no ads, and does not track you. Links in the app (this website, support, Torah: Turn It) open in your browser.

Children

The app collects no information from anyone, including children.
